Thanks, Rob for keeping us up to date. The poor parents are now being railroaded, looks as tho it may be S.O.P. with the Portuguese police?
Mum- thank you for the compliment. This will be sorted out one way or the other.
These claims of a deal being offered to Kate McCann aren't plausible at all under the Portuguese legal system.
The following paragraph from a Portuguese lawyer explains why:
"Portuguese criminal police (PJ) has no legal powers to settle or offer deals with crime suspects. in fact, nor even the Public Prosecutor has such powers. Only the magistrate that judges the case in a court of law can determine the punishment /penalty applicable."
