A Dutch tourist has claimed she spotted missing British girl Madeleine McCann in southern France — the latest in a series of alleged sightings across the world.

The woman told police she saw a child she thought was the 4-year-old in the city of Montpellier.

French police have taken CCTV from a cafe, which reportedly shows the girl in question.

Clarence Mitchell, spokesman for Madeleine's parents, said he was told the tourist had been so sure it was the missing girl that she shouted out her name before a man rushed off with the child.

MONTPELLIER, France — Police investigating an alleged sighting last week of Madeleine McCann in southern France have determined it was not the missing British girl, a police official said Wednesday.

Investigators had taken seriously a Dutch tourist's account that she believed she saw McCann at a roadside restaurant near the city of Montpellier on Feb. 15, a police official said. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk publicly on the matter.

After viewing closed-circuit video footage, police investigators spotted a man and a young girl who indeed resembled the missing British girl, but determined it was not McCann after a thorough inspection, the official said.

SERIAL RAPIST ON LOOSE SPREADS FEAR AROUND RENO UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

RENO, Nev. — The hunt for a serial rapist spread fear around a college campus after police linked a 19-year-old woman's death to at least two other attacks in the area.

The woman's body was found in a field on Friday, nearly a month after she vanished from a home at the edge of the University of Nevada, Reno. Police said Brianna Denison had been abducted and strangled in what they called a sexually motivated crime.

Freshman Darryllyn Thomas, who lives in a dormitory two blocks away from the house, said the string of attacks has alarmed students.

"A lot of students think he's going to do it again," Thomas said Sunday at the student union building. "Everybody is pretty scared. Students are carrying Tasers, pepper spray and bear spray. I'm very paranoid."

University President Milton Glick issued a statement urging students to take precautions. The attacks have led to expanded campus patrols and escorts, seminars on personal safety and the distribution of whistles to female students.

"University police advise that you remain aware of your surroundings and avoid situations that put you at risk, such as walking alone at night or leaving doors and windows unlocked," Glick said.

Joran made a confession to a ‘friend’. This friend managed to get a confession from Joran with a secret camera. Joran told this to his parents. His attorney admitted it. This ‘friend’ received an amount of money from Peter de Vries. The Aruban ALE already confirmed his confession. It is not clear what he confessed. Peter will have a special show this sunday on Dutch SBS6.
