CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Authorities have charged

two suspects with first-degree murder in the

slaying of University of North Carolina

student body president Eve Carson, police

said Wednesday in a news conference.

Carson was found last Wednesday lying on a

street about a mile from campus. The biology

and political science major had been shot

several times, including once in the right

temple.

Her body was positively identified the next

day, leading to a massive outpouring of grief

at North Carolina. Thousands gathered that

day at two campus memorial services, and a

third is planned for next week at the

school's basketball arena.

The Board of Trustees at North Carolina

offered a $25,000 reward for information

leading to an arrest in her death, and police

received hundreds of tips after the first two

photos were released over the weekend.

A Dutch tourist has claimed she spotted missing British girl Madeleine McCann in southern France — the latest in a series of alleged sightings across the world.

The woman told police she saw a child she thought was the 4-year-old in the city of Montpellier.

French police have taken CCTV from a cafe, which reportedly shows the girl in question.

Clarence Mitchell, spokesman for Madeleine's parents, said he was told the tourist had been so sure it was the missing girl that she shouted out her name before a man rushed off with the child.

MONTPELLIER, France — Police investigating an alleged sighting last week of Madeleine McCann in southern France have determined it was not the missing British girl, a police official said Wednesday.

Investigators had taken seriously a Dutch tourist's account that she believed she saw McCann at a roadside restaurant near the city of Montpellier on Feb. 15, a police official said. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk publicly on the matter.

After viewing closed-circuit video footage, police investigators spotted a man and a young girl who indeed resembled the missing British girl, but determined it was not McCann after a thorough inspection, the official said.

SERIAL RAPIST ON LOOSE SPREADS FEAR AROUND RENO UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

RENO, Nev. — The hunt for a serial rapist spread fear around a college campus after police linked a 19-year-old woman's death to at least two other attacks in the area.

The woman's body was found in a field on Friday, nearly a month after she vanished from a home at the edge of the University of Nevada, Reno. Police said Brianna Denison had been abducted and strangled in what they called a sexually motivated crime.

Freshman Darryllyn Thomas, who lives in a dormitory two blocks away from the house, said the string of attacks has alarmed students.

"A lot of students think he's going to do it again," Thomas said Sunday at the student union building. "Everybody is pretty scared. Students are carrying Tasers, pepper spray and bear spray. I'm very paranoid."

University President Milton Glick issued a statement urging students to take precautions. The attacks have led to expanded campus patrols and escorts, seminars on personal safety and the distribution of whistles to female students.

"University police advise that you remain aware of your surroundings and avoid situations that put you at risk, such as walking alone at night or leaving doors and windows unlocked," Glick said.

RESULTS OF GRANT'S DNA TEST EXPECTED THIS WEEK

JESSIE FOSTER - MISSING IN NORTH LAS VEGAS SINCE MARCH 2006

It will be a matter of days before results of a DNA swab test let Glendene Grant know if a body found in Texas is her missing daughter.

“The sooner it gets done, the better,” Grant said Sunday.

She took the test Friday morning at the Kamloops RCMP City detachment. An investigator with the Serious Crime Unit took two swab samples from her right cheek and two from the left.

The swabs were sent to a university in the United States. Grant was told it could be two days or more before the results come back.

Grant’s daughter, Jessica Foster, 21, was last heard from March 29, 2006. She was living in Las Vegas at the time and may have been caught in a sex-trafficking ring.

The body of the woman was found badly burned on a stretch of highway Oct. 29, 2006. It’s believed she’s between the ages of 17 and 22.

A facial reconstruction of the woman was recently featured on America’s Most Wanted. Grant was alerted by friends because the image was similar to that of her daughter.

Grant said while the photo has similarities to Foster, she doesn’t believe they’re a match.

A kit was also sent to Foster’s father in Calgary.

It's true. They did close the Hunt for Madeleine Forum. It's been rumored for a few weeks. And it finally happened.

Normally I wouldn't care if any entity closed a forum. It's their property and they have the right do with it as they wish. In this case, it removes the FREE - SPEECH and the search for the TRUTH. That concerns me. We weren't discussing High Tea. We were talking about a CRIME VICTIM.

England and the UK are bottled up in a socialist society and some were under the impression that they were covered by the Bill of Rights and The Constitution. They weren't, as they quickly found out.

I am attracted to cases where the youngest and weakest need a voice. Where corruption plays a major role in the out-come. That's why I am still following Madeleine's case.

I admit I did not contribute much to the UK Mirror Forum. The crime occurred in a country where I have never even considered travel. The suspects are from countries I do not plan to visit. But the crime and the fact that Madeleine is no closer to being recovered, dead or alive, has held my attention 9 months. Where is Madeleine and what is HER TRUTH? We all want to know. And we have a right to know. We are all members of the human race and deserve to know what happened to someone born with the same GOD GIVEN rights as the rest of us.

As I have said on the UK Mirror Forum, I do not like the McCanns. I do not want them for my neighbors, I do not want them as my doctors, and I would certainly be upset to know I was related to them. They're not good people. They caused the chain of event that led to the current situation. If they treat their children like that, could you imagine the level of care you could receive in the UK's socialist medical system? Their compassion does not seem to run very high. Remember, Madeleine was missing and Gerry was playing tennis as if nothing had even occurred. That's wrong! And I'm not afraid to say so.

The McCanns leave a lot to be desired. Most will remember the mortgage debacle. The McCanns used money donated by so many to make two mortgage payments before they were named Formal Suspects or ARGUIDOS.

The stories of who gave what and why were legendary on the UK Forum. Like the Pensioner that forgoes the new shoes he needs to contribute 20 pounds. That was all he had. Or the little girl that sold all of her toys on EBay to give the money to the McCanns to locate Madeleine. It was heart-breaking to hear the tales of the less than fortunate who gave what they could so Madeleine would be located. The McCanns took that generosity and trampled it.

They then hired METEDO3. Or, as some have apply named them, RETARDO3. That was the detective agency hired by the McCanns at 50,000 pounds per month. That little gang of three told the world that Madeleine was about to be found and would be home by Christmas. No, I didn't believe them.

Today, I scan the FOX NEWS website and find the McCanns are shopping the NEXT INTERVIEW. Since when do News Organizations pay for interviews with formal suspects? The McCanns leave a lot to be desired. They have yet to make one correct decision since before Madeleine disappeared. No wonder they have so few allies. Money motivates the McCanns.

But the main fact overlooked in the entire ordeal is Madeleine. She is the CRIME VICTIM. Regardless of the total overall disgust at the McCanns, I keep my eyes focused on Madeleine. I hope and pray she is alive somewhere and will someday soon be discovered.

I'll keep following Madeleine's Case for as long as it takes. And praying for a resolution. Madeleine deserves that much.

The parents of Jessie Foster, a Kamloops woman who disappeared in Las Vegas in 2006, have been asked to provide DNA samples to test against the remains of an unidentified woman found in Texas nearly 15 months ago.

Ms. Foster's mother, Glendene Grant, said two people who were aware of her daughter's disappearance contacted her after the Texas "Jane Doe" case was featured on the television show America's Most Wanted on Jan. 12.

The burned remains of the woman, a blonde like Ms. Foster, were found in the town of Kilgore, 160 kilometres east of Dallas, on Oct. 29, 2006. Careful forensic reconstruction of the victim allowed the case to appear on the crime-solving program.

Ms. Grant called Kamloops RCMP, who sent a constable to go over the forensic information provided by the program. He concluded there was a possibility of a match worth looking into. Ms. Grant contacted the North Las Vegas police department, which is leading the investigation into Ms. Foster's disappearance, and the department requested the test.

KAMLOOPS - A mother plans to provide a DNA sample to U.S. police to make sure a young women found in Texas in 2006 is not her missing daughter, who disappeared from Las Vegas the same year.

"The height and weight are the same," Glendene Grant of Kamloops explained Monday about the remains of the young woman discovered on Oct. 29, 2006 in Kilgore, Texas.

The remains are unidentified because the body was severely burned and can only be identified by DNA or dental records, she said.

Grant's daughter, Jessie Foster, 23, went missing from Las Vegas on March 28, 2006. The former Boston Pizza waitress in Kamloops had been working for an escort agency, her mother learned after her daughter went missing.

"I don't believe it's Jessie," Grant said of the unsolved Texas case.

She believes her daughter is still alive and is being kept hidden by a human trafficking ring.

Jessie, 21 when she disappeared, twice travelled to the U.S. in 2005 after meeting a man at a party in Alberta who offered to pay for the trips.

Foster later phoned from Las Vegas and said she was moving in with her rich boyfriend, Peter Todd, who is believed to be the last person to see Jessie before she disappeared.

Grant said her former husband, Dwight Foster of Calgary, also plans to give a DNA sample to assist police investigating the Texas case.

Jessie maintained daily contact with friends and family before she disappeared. Since she went missing, she has not used her cell phone, credit cards, or accessed her bank accounts.

The case has been featured on a number of U.S. TV programs, including Geraldo Rivera, the Maury Povich show and Montel Williams.

A $50,000 reward is being offered for information about Foster's disappearance on a website devoted to Grant's daughter: www.jessiefoster.ca. A reconstructed composite image of the young woman found in Texas can be found on the website:

I don't have time to talk bull with you, the only thing I know Alot of time and money was spent on this project, even alot of your time was spent.
