The KLPD, in conjunction with the FBI based in Barbados, are actively pursuing the case and it is NOT closed, or likely to be closed any time soon.

I am as skeptical as anyone, but some know more than I. The fact remains that the Aruban Justice Department is under the auspices of the Netherlands. This the one area where Aruba's Separate Aparte Status is not in play. They must adhere to the Dutch Legal System. Whether this will be the Aruban version of the Dutch Legal System or the TRUE VERSION of the Dutch Legal System will remain to be seen.

Where this will go is anyone's guess. However, Holland is apparently ready to assume all responsibility in this matter. Aruba could very well be off the hook should Holland and the KLPD be unable to prove the case.
